A museum where the gift shop is the museum
This place, created and maintained by Tyler Jackson, is a way for people to join in with his work—like a museum you can take home. Each piece supports Jackson’s ongoing journey to document and explore esoteric religious ceremonies and cultural practices around the world.
We don’t view these items as “for sale” in the conventional sense. Instead, your support allows us to keep pushing forward, and in return, you receive a piece of that adventure. In cases like Buddhist amulets, consider it more as “borrowing” the item, with an understanding of its cultural value, for as long as you like.
Tyler “Tiger” Jackson is an artist and adventurer who has spent over a decade traveling without a fixed home. Growing up playing in metal bands in the US, his interest in extreme displays of human intensity took root. Later, as a celebrated painter and photographer in Hong Kong, an offhand remark about crucifixion ceremonies in the Philippines during a gallery show opened a door. What began as a curiosity turned into an obsession, and now it’s his life’s work—capturing the raw edges of cultural devotion across the globe as a way to better understand ourselves and others.
