Description: Phra Buddha Chinnarat is one of the most revered Buddha images in Thailand, housed in Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat in Phitsanulok. Crafted during the Sukhothai period (circa 1357), the image is renowned for its striking beauty and is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful representations of the Buddha. Depicted in the Mara Vichaya posture, where the Buddha calls the Earth to witness his enlightenment, the image exudes majesty and power.
Made of bronze with a flame-like aureole (halo) around the head, the Phra Buddha Chinnarat is a symbol of spiritual strength and enlightenment. Pilgrims across Thailand visit the original to seek blessings for prosperity, protection, and spiritual guidance.
