Description:
This Milagro Cross was collected during our Exploding Hammer Festival expedition as we passed through San Miguel de Allende. The cross is constructed from wood, with a series of intricately attached metal milagros. Each charm represents a specific prayer or intention such as love, protection or good luck.
Milagro crosses are commonly placed in homes or churches to honor saints or the Virgin Mary. This cross serves as a powerful example of the intersection between faith and artisan craftsmanship, rooted in the cultural and spiritual practices of Mexico.
