Description:
The Jatukham Ramathep amulet is one of the most popular and revered in Thailand. Originally created in 1987, the first edition skyrocketed in price to over 40 million THB, making it one of the most valuable amulets in history. Jatukham Ramathep represents two guardian gods – Thao Khattukham and Thao Ramthep – who protect Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan Temple in Nakhon Si Thammarat. In Brahmanism, Jatukham corresponds to the creator god Brahma, and Ramathep corresponds to Lord Rama, an avatar of Vishnu.
Another legend states that Jatukham Ramathep was once a king in the Nakhon Si Thammarat Kingdom, a warrior king praised for his might and known as “the Black King of the Southern Seas.” This amulet, acquired during the Vegetarian Festival at the oldest Chinese temple in Phuket, is revered for its strong protective and prosperous powers.
