Description:

Mae Nak Phra Khanong is one of Thailand’s most beloved ghost figures, known for her deep love and devotion even after death. Her legend tells the story of a woman who died in childbirth while her husband was away serving in the military. Upon his return, Mak unknowingly lived with Mae Nak’s ghost, until her spirit was revealed. Despite her tragic tale, Mae Nak is revered for her protective nature and continues to be prayed to for blessings.

Mae Nak incense is traditionally used by those seeking her aid in granting wishes, bringing luck, fortune, and prosperity. Devotees also pray to her for protection of their loved ones, particularly soldiers going off to war, believing Mae Nak can safeguard them and ensure their safe return. Her association with wealth and prosperity makes this incense a powerful tool for invoking blessings of fortune.

Mae Nak’s shrine, near Wat Mahabut in Bangkok, continues to attract people who pray to her for love, wealth, and protection. The incense, accompanied by a prayer card, is believed to summon her spirit to help with personal requests, whether for protection, prosperity, or the safe return of soldiers.
